The field of 20 Legends for the 2nd annual Patty Sheehan & Friends Pro-Am, an official LPGA Legends Tour event, includes four LPGA Hall of Famers – Amy Alcott, Pat Bradley, Hollis Stacy and Patty Sheehan. The tournament scheduled for June 1, 2012 returns to Hidden Valley Country Club, Reno, Nev., with proceeds benefiting the Patty Sheehan Foundation, supporting local women’s and children’s charities. The cost for a Pro-Am foursome is $4,000.
“The reason I chose the name ‘Patty Sheehan & Friends’ is because I had the desire to introduce my home community to my LPGA friends and vice versa,” Sheehan said. “The support we’ve received is beyond over whelming and the professionals who have signed on are true legends of golf, my mentors and friends. The way the field is taking shape, it’s going to be a great day of incredible golf. I can’t wait for June 1.”

Patty Sheehan, World Golf and LPGA Hall of Famer, in partnership with The Legends Tour, the official senior tour of the LPGA, is set to bring the 2nd annual Patty Sheehan & Friends Pro-Am to Hidden Valley Country Club June 1, 2012. The official Pro-Am features a field of 20 LPGA Legends.
In 2011, the inaugural Patty Sheehan & Friends was a rousing success thanks to the Pro-Am teams, sponsors and attendees. The tournament boasted a field of 40 LPGA Legends. Christa Johnson captured the win with a 139 total shot over the two-day tournament and walked away with a $35,000. Tournament charities including First Tee of Northern Nevada, Step 2 and CAAW each received a check for $5,000. “A second year is a milestone for our tournament and we’re thrilled to bring the ‘legends’ of women’s golf back to Reno for an incredible one-day Pro-Am,” Sheehan said.” “The northern Nevada community has the opportunity to experience fantastic golf as a spectator or as a player in the Pro-Am with all proceeds going to the Patty Sheehan Foundation, an organization I founded to give back to my community.”

This afternoon at Hidden Valley Country Club, all 80 spaces were filled for the Girls Golf Clinic at the inaugural Patty Sheehan & Friends LPGA Legends Tour golf tournament. Produced in partnership with First Tee of Northern Nevada, the free clinic taught golf skills to girls ages 7 â€“ 18.

With less than a month to go until the inaugural Patty Sheehan & Friends Golf Tournament the field of players continues to grow.
